EPPA’s primary objective is to promote and defend manufacturing quality of metal fence and gate systems while providing impartial advice for consumers.
EPPA acts on behalf of the perimeter protection industry. We promote the continuous development of high quality products within the European market. We endeavour to shape policy and opinion in the creation of a European standard, so that all marketed products are safely installed and fit for purpose. EPPA members uphold binding EU directives governing perimeter protection and adhere to current product legislation, such as EN standards.
Customers are entitled to be provided with type test results for any EPPA members gate products to confirm compliance with all relevant standards.
It is always good practice to request the supplier of a fence or gate system for copies of type test certificates, especially when upgrading from manual to automated systems. In such cases, the installer becomes the manufacturer of the gate and is liable to comply with the relevant product standard.
