Successful fixed bollard system test
On 27th of January, Gunnebo Perimeter Protection Group performed an ASTM F 2656-07 test for a fixed bollard system at KARCO engineering in California.
The test was a full success as the 15.000 lbs. truck travelling at 50 mph was fully stopped and immobilized with a negative penetration of more than 1 meter. The product itself was nearly undamaged - just a very small bending of the middle bollard. Though using a very small and shallow foundation with a depth of just 400mm even the foundation stayed undamaged.
With this result, this triple fixed bollard system is state of the art in the world and definitively one of the strongest available products of all.
