Temporary fencing is typically used on building sites, at public event sites, in the case of an accident and at sites where road works are in progress.

Security is very important at temporary sites, but often there is an even greater need for safety. Temporary perimeter protection products have to protect against theft and vandalism but should also prevent access by children and unwanted visitors. National legislation often requires compliance with compulsory measures. Since perimeter protection products for building sites and events are mobile, the materials used and size of these barriers tend to differ from permanent installations.
