Related Security Systems
In the field of outdoor perimeter protection metal fences and gates are the stock product for EPPA members. However very often other related security systems are used to complement these physical barriers in order to deliver a fully integrated solution.
Such systems generally include Intrusion Detection Systems and Intelligent Video/CCTV Systems. These add on systems can be permanent, temporary or portable and can be used for the protection of all conceivable areas that may require monitoring. They are most commonly incorporated for higher security needs and where assets must be protected, these include car parks, utilities, temporary or building sites, industrial and high security sites.
Examples of outdoor Intrusion Detection Systems are:
- Electronic perimeter security systems (fence mounted detection systems, fences with integrated detection, electric fencing, buried detection)
- Infra-red beam detection
- Portable perimeter protection equipment
Intelligent Video/CCTV Systems can consist of:
- Video cameras and video surveillance
- Under vehicle monitoring systems
- License plate recognition systems
