Quality and Standards
EPPA’s primary functions are to promote and preserve the manufacturing quality of metal fences and gates and to provide impartial consumer advice. Thus we are seeking to create a European standard so that all products that are marketed within Europe are safely installed and fit for purpose. EPPA members uphold binding EU directives governing perimeter protection and adhere to current product legislation, such as EN standards.
Metal fencing produced by EPPA members will provide customers with peace of mind and the appropriate levels of protection. Products will meet European guidelines on corrosion and a five-year guarantee, linked to the manufacturer’s recommendations. The functionality of gates is also commonly guaranteed for 10 years or 100,000 cycles (whichever comes first)(subject to the terms of the individual EPPA members warranty).
Gates produced by EPPA members comply with all national standards, continental European legal requirements and specific European directives. EPPA members also adhere to the European rules on inspection, professional maintenance and repair of gates to prolong their life.
